Message from the Managing Director

General Air Services is a family owned private company that has been in business at Aruba's International Airport since 1972. Currently our working team consists of 170 teammembers. We handle all types and sizes of aircraft from a Cessna 410 to a B-747-400. We also handle private and corporate aircraft as well as the Royal Netherlands Air Force, The Royal Canadian Air Force, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Customs Service, Royal and V.I.P. flights, aircraft transporting stars of stage and screen. We work hand in hand with some of the largest wholesalers such as G.W.V., Apple Vacations, T.N.T. Vacation Express etc. We will liaise with the local tour operators, hotels, fuelers, caterers, department of civil aviation, airport authorities to ensure a smooth seamless operation.

Ground/Passenger service

Whether we provide dedicated staff to major scheduled carriers sporting the airline's own uniforms, or we offer a friendly, welcoming service with our smartly outfitted agents, everything we do is with a typical Caribbean flair and smile which are a reflection of the happy island of Aruba.

Operations

Our dispatchers are licensed by the US Federal Aviation Administration, the Venezuelan Civil Aviation Authority or the European Joint Aviation Authority.

Technical Services

We have an entire range of ground support equipment, such as air starts, air conditioning units, ground power units, high lifts, tractors etc., all of which are maintained by in our own workshops. We provide FAA licensed mechanical assistance.

Our Partner

Our sister company in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, is Antillean Flight Services which provides similar services at Hato International Airport. We are always on the look out for new opportunities and we constantly study planned and careful expansion.
